Zoopark Chomutov showed the contents of a stork’s nest

Employees of Zoopark Chomutov (Czech Republic) decided to inspect the nest made by white storks. It was a routine operation. The nest is regularly cleaned of foreign and potentially dangerous objects. Such as plastic products, pieces of wire or fishing line.
However, this time the findings turned out to be unexpected. Therefore, the zoo employees shared the photos on social networks. The post instantly went viral.
White storks adapted a T-shirt, belt, bra, underpants, socks, winter gloves and much more to build their home. Most likely, the birds picked up some of the “building materials” on the beach of a nearby lake.

“A collection of artifacts in a stork’s nest is an unusual phenomenon. But sometimes it happens. For birds, these items are valuable as a warm building material. However, for chicks, clothes are dangerous. They can get their paws tangled in them. That’s why we threw the clothes out of the nest.”
Petr Hora, ornithologist

It should be noted that in the Czech Republic the white stork is a specially protected species. Birds have been nesting in Zoopark Chomutov for 36 years.

It was previously reported how the Rivne Zoo is preparing for winter.
