Scientific work at Cherkasy Zoo

The scientific work of the zoo is to develop methodological recommendations for keeping and breeding wild animals in the zoo. There is a systematic development of rations for feeding animals of the zoo.

On the basis of the zoo together with the Department of Education, zoology lessons for students and practice for students of Cherkasy National University on zoology of vertebrates and invertebrates were held.

The zoo also publishes an annual collection of articles, which highlights its main achievements and scientific approaches to working with animals.

Also in 2022, employees of the zoo, namely Iryna Solov’yova, published a popular science article “KEEPING AND BREEDING OF NEW GUINEA SNAKE-NECKED TURTLE AT CHERKASY ZOO”. The article can be viewed below at the link.
