The world’s largest safari park will be developed in India

Safari Park Aravalli will be developed in northern India, in the state of Haryana. As The Economic Times informs, it will be the largest in the world.

The Aravalli mountain range provides shelter to many species of birds, animals and insects. According to research conducted a few years ago, 180 species of birds, 15 species of mammals, 29 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 57 species of butterflies were found on the slopes of the Aravalli.

The upcoming 10,000-acre Aravalli Safari Park will include a large herpetarium (a zoological exhibition space for reptiles and amphibians), a bird park, four big cat areas, a large herbivore area, exotic animal areas, bird areas, and botanical gardens. Ecological trails and recreation areas for visitors will also be created. It is assumed that the implementation of the project will take seven years.

Currently, the largest safari park outside of Africa has been created in Sharjah (UAE). Sharjah Safari covers an area of 2,000 acres. It received its first visitors in February 2022.

The Aravalli Safari Park will be five times larger.

The state leadership believes that the development of safari will contribute to the preservation of the environment of the Aravalli massif. Also, the influx of tourists to Delhi and surrounding areas will create new employment opportunities for local residents.
