On July 1, deputy head of the department of ungulates of Nikolaev Zoo Dima Reznik died at the Kherson hospital from wounds received at the front near Kherson. He served in the artillery.

Dima has been working at Mykolaiv Zoo since 2008. On the fourth day of the war, February 28, 2022, he went to the front. For Mykolaiv Zoo, this is an irreparable loss. He loved life, loved animals. Under special control and care were the legs of our elephants. It was a bright man. We express our deep condolences to Dima’s family, to everyone who knew him.
