Volodymyr Topchyi, President of AZU,  reported at the Annual Conference of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). The conference was held in Albufeira (Portugal) from September 27 to October 1.

The president of AZU expressed thanks for all organizations from Europe, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Japan, which supported the Ukrainian Zoos during the war. Volodymyr Topchyi noted the role of the EAZA as a coordinator in providing aid.

The participants of the conference learned about the activities of members of The Association of Zoos of Ukraine in the conditions of the war. The president of AZU also informed about AZU’s plans for the future.
