Aid to the Rivne Zoo from volunteers from Germany

The aid to the zoo, which was delivered to Rivne by Benjamin and Daniel – volunteers from Germany, became very appropriate in the cold season.

The winter months are a difficult time for any zoo. Revenues from the sale of tickets are decreasing, but expenses (at least for the same feeds) are not decreasing. This year, the situation is further complicated by the fact that the Rivne Zoo sheltered many “immigrated” animals. Animals were brought here from those zoos of Kyiv region, Kharkiv, which were actually destroyed due to shelling.

An entrepreneur from the city of Cloppenburg became one of those who supported the Rivne Zoo in this difficult time. The man has been helping Ukrainian zoos since the beginning of the war.

“I got out of poverty and now I can think about doing something good in this world and leaving some mark.

Recently, Ben and his partner Dani delivered a full bag of grain mixtures to Rivne. The help to the zoo is so great that it will be possible to share it with other Ukrainian zoos if necessary.

The imported food can be shared with other zoos.

The cooperation between the zoo and its German benefactor on unloaded fodder did not end. During the volunteers’ stay in Rivne, the mayor not only expressed sincere thanks for the support, but also presented the online ticket sales system to the zoo.

“We have created a portal for electronic entrance tickets to the zoo. Thanks to it, you can buy a ticket anywhere on the planet. And, thus, support the zoo”.
Oleksandr Tretyak, mayor of Rivne

Volunteers from Germany promised to support the promising initiative and spread it to help the city zoo.
